Intro
I’m an aspiring engineer with over a decade of robotics experience spanning across competitions, academic projects and industrial roles.
From the first line on CAD to the last line of code, I thrive in the intersection of hardware and software, having developed a broad yet deeply integrated skillset across robotics’ three main domains of mechanical, electrical and software engineering.
My current focus lies in embedded systems and physical AI systems, with a keen interest in high-impact deep tech startups.
Work Experience
May 2025 – Present
Apicoo Robotics
Hanoi, Vietnam
Robotics Intern
- Internship in progress. To be updated!
January 2024 – June 2024
BeeX Autonomous Systems
Singapore
Electrical Intern
- Designed a thruster interfacing PCB to simultaneously control the 7 thrusters on the BETTA Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) over the Modbus RTU protocol.
- Created a stepper driver board for moving the BETTA AUV's antenna, providing closed-loop control of the motor's speed based on its load to maximise speed without stalling or losing steps.
- Developed the power architecture for Topside Lite, a miniaturised version of the Topside surface communication box for untethered operations, achieving a 90% weight reduction.
- Revamped the hull monitoring PCB by optimizing parts placement and routing, reducing its overall size by 20%.

Dec 2022 – Nov 2023
Republic of Singapore Air Force, 160 Squadron
Singapore
Assistant Head Operations Officer (AS3)
- Developed consolidated tracking systems for training, personnel details and peacetime activation procedures in Excel, combined with VBA scripts that fully automated document generation for record-keeping/audit purposes.
- Consolidated information from various stakeholders to create the squadron’s monthly reports in PowerBI, which were presented in the Air Defence Group level conferences.
- Coordinated the planning and execution of 5 peacetime deployment operations/exercises.
Education & Extracurriculars
August 2024 – May 2028
National University of Singapore
Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, GPA: 5.0/5.0

May 2025 – Present
Bumblebee Autonomous Systems
Member
- Newly joined as part of the Acoustics sub-team. To be updated!

Sep 2024 – Mar 2025
Hornet X
Electrical Lead
- Coordinated a team of 17 to create the electrical architecture of an AUV, overseeing the design of 5 separate PCBs, with priority placed on ease of maintenance and integration.
- Developed an underwater acoustic positioning system, which used a triangular hydrophone array to calculate the azimuth and elevation of an underwater pinger, accurate to 1 degree. Fully designed both its hardware and software stack. [Details]
Jan 2016 – Dec 2021
Hwa Chong Institution
Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level, 6 Distinctions (90/90 RP)

Feb 2016 – Dec 2021
Infocomm & Robotics Society
Vice-President (2020–2021)
- Lead mechanical engineer for the design and fabrication of a pair of autonomous soccer playing robots. Represented Singapore internationally for the RoboCup Junior Soccer competition in 2018, 2020 & 2021.
- Lead controls engineer writing firmware for precise holonomic motion, sensor fusion for accurate localisation, and dynamic path planning based on the game state.
- Created a 2D real-time simulator for the RCJ Soccer game with fully programmable robot agents, enabling rapid virtual testing of various strategies, which significantly reduced development time.
- Pioneered an internal coaching programme, teaching hardware design and programming to 4 batches of juniors, which eventually resulted in 50% of participating teams attaining 1st place in national competitions.
